Picture this...film festival - an international disability film festival
Attention:
Aspiring Southern Albertan filmmaker(s) with a disability, creating a film in any genre, or a filmmaker directing a film on the subject of disability. (For the purpose of this competition, the geographic region refers to the portion of the province of Alberta which includes the city of Red Deer and south.)

Shaw, in conjunction with Picture this…film festival, presents:
Shaw TV Bursary Programme Competition
May 1st to October 31st, 2013
Prize:
- 40 hours with Shaw technicians on Final Cut Edit Suite-Version 7 (Any combination of five 8-hour days)
- $1,000 bursary
- Screening of the finished film at the 2014 Picture this...film festival
- Closed captioning of the finished film will be provided by Shaw
- Finished film may be eligible to air on Shaw Television Channel 10 and Shaw Video on Demand
Eligibility (these are a must for all entrants):
- Have shot original material for a short film. Must have legal and creative ownership of the film. Finished running time is 8-10 minutes.
- Completed an entry form (see below), including submission of raw footage on a playable DVD (NTSC Region 0 or 1)
- Have preselected time codes and matching script
- Provide hard drive for finished edit
Entry regulations:
- Film and raw footage must be removed from Shaw Cable System’s server upon completion
- Entrants retain all rights to their work
- DVD with raw footage will not be returned
- Filmmakers may enter more than one film; each film will require a separate entry
- All entries mailed prior to, or postmarked, October 31st, 2013, will be considered
- The successful candidate will be notified during the month of November 2013
- The judges’ decision is final
